Owners Statement:

"I grew up in the hills and moved to the city in my early 20's. Missed the hills terribly ever since. After having two little children Hayley and I decided to buy 23 acres of wooded farm land and raise the family in a hills life style. Over a bottle Barolo in a restaurant we designed the house on a napkin (True!). We wanted to build something solid, resistant to weather, not prone to dents by kids, and thermally stable. We also wanted to avoid too much fancy detail and instead revel in several substantial features or spaces, i.e. high sloped ceiling, large open area and wooden floor boards throughout.

Our build is 100% off-grid, no Power, gas or water and we love that feeling of isolation and self-sufficiency whilst being only 30 min from CBD." - Kim Everuss
